I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Pet Valu (Ponoka, AB) in Dec 2020
Interview
short, read off a sheet of paper that is supplied by head office. interview questions were not really in-depth for anything. I got call for an interview the next day, and a phone call on my way home offering the job.

Question 1
what was the most difficult customer you have ever dealt with?
Very quick to respond to app. Very slow to make a decision. They do not even provide a courtesy call to inform you of their decision. Disrespectful. I'm glad I dodged a bullet.
I applied for a store manager position with Pet Value about 5 weeks ago.
6 days after submitting my application, I received a call from a recruiter name Mike for the Manitoba Territory, after speaking with this person for a few minutes, we were able to come up with a date and time to meet for an interview.
Well for my big surprise, I left work early to meet mike and he was a NO SHOW. After waiting 30 minuets for Mike, I called and ask him to call me back to set a different time and date in case he had an emergency.
Since, I have tried to reach out to Mike with no success at all.
PET VALUE - have competent people working for you or ask franchise owners to be more professionals. In my 11 years of retail this has been my worst experience.
Oh yes, Mike was hiring for the Selkirk location in Manitoba.
