Initial interviews consisted of 2 1:1 interviews. The first interview was with a Sr. Marketing Manager, the second interview was with the VP of Marketing. Both interviews were off-site in public places, which were hardly the best places to conduct interviews. However, the interviews were ok...mostly typical questions about product management, goals, etc.
Subsequently, there were 2 panel interviews. The first panel consisted of the same 2 Marketing people, a Sales person, and a PR person. The 2nd panel interview was with long-time company employees and the Marketing VP. Questions were all over the board, often unclear in context and/or not relevant. The sales person and PR person were new to the company. The PR person was new to consumer products, which was apparent by the irrelevant questions asked.
