Pen CS IT Support interview questions

Applied on Seek. HR got back to me 1 month later for an interview. A basic interview, asked about myself, my experience and skills. They also tested me on my skills too. Went for about a half an hour. They replied back 1 month later with no offer. That's fine, but I found the interview to be very discouraging in its approach. I felt that there was no connection throughout. The base salary was also surprisingly low for the industry standard. Some of the questions was pretty ridiculous, I was asked about skills/abilities that wasn't even related to the role (Why is UX important? Are you on Centrelink?). I would have declined the offer either way.
