First phone interview is very poor. Corporate recruiter loses good candidates because of the asking salary. Recruiter tries to find candidates based on budget not quality and sometimes even for 5K more, the candidates are discouraged by the recruiter. Subsequent interviews are good. The company has 90% smart people so after the first interview, everything goes how it should.
