I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pella (Macomb, IL) in Sept 2018
Interview
Applied online. A few days later a phone interview was scheduled. Did pretty well over the phone. Went in for follow up interview. with a different person. Atmosphere was warm attentive very nice while waiting. The interview, the woman seemed to have some personal or predetermined grudge before ever meeting. or maybe she just felt like throwing her weight around because of her status. Completely unprofessional. she seemed to get upset because i had previous factory experience or what factory is was? i don't know. then go and make some rude remark as i was leaving as if i was somehow the mental capacity of a second grader, even though i am currently sitting on two completed degrees. completely unprofessional.
the interview overall was a waste of time. if people want to abuse there power and take their frustration out on people they should do it in their homes, not at the work place. The company shouldn't have to suffer because of one employee. and would have better odds drawing a name out of a hat, or rolling dice to select employees than their current method.
other than that, the process was completely professional, had a blast. i was curteous even though i was rude to. and they still didn't have the professionalism to call back to tell me if i had gotten the job.
