During the screening they mentioned the switch (job change) hike can be max 30% to 40% which they can offer.
I agreed regarding the pay scale, since I wanted to apply for the designation Tech Lead only.
Was interviewed for Tech Lead, 3 or 4 rounds happened.
Got selected, received official email asking for documents !
Shared the documents with them.
The Talent Acquisition herself switched jobs in the mean-time, and informed me about the same.
Yearly appraisal was declared with the current organisation, it was not as per my expectations.
Had raised the concern with the CEO of my current organisation, to which he said that he would address it, but needed some time.
Another Talent Acquisition from Paytm Money was assigned after 10 or 15 days.
I asked TA from Paytm Money for some time (a week) for the salary correction discussion to happen, and he agreed.
After the delay from my current organisation, I decided to put down my resignation with current organisation, believing I should not let the Paytm Money opportunity pass, since I had made up my mind to switch jobs anyways.
I informed the TA / HR regarding my decision to join Paytm Money.
He suggested that I should start with my notice period, so that joining happens soon.
After my resignation, whenever I called the newly assigned HR / Talent Acquisition personnel, to inquire about the status / get an update, why the Offer Letter is not yet shared, every time he mentioned that he still needs to get the approval from Management, and will share by that evening or within a few days.
Called him approx 7 or 8 times during the notice period time frame and several times before the notice period, got same answer every time.
Many a times when I called, he seemed to have forgotten, that I have already informed him of the decision, and was waiting for him to share the Offer Letter.
After two weeks of putting down resignation, when I asked / confirmed about designation Paytm Money is going to offer, he mentioned he would have to check and will get back to me.
After a week he reverts back, telling the interview panel has decided for Senior Software Engineer during de-brief.
I mentioned that I was ok with payscale, but the designation part was non-negotiable.
He said, again he would have to check with Management.
He got back to me saying that Senior Software Engineer was the only designation they could offer, to which I agreed, since I had no choice.
My Notice Period got over.
Still have not received the offer letter from Paytm Money.
It has been around 3.5 months since the day documents were asked.
