My initial interview with a recruiter went well, she was very nice and it was brief. After my initial interview I was contacted by Paylock for a second interview with an engineer. I was sent a copy of their culture handbook prior to the interview and it went well and I felt like this was a company I'd like to work for.
After my second interview things started to go downhill. I was contacted by Paylock for a third group style interview and because of the holidays I was told that the earliest date that I'd be able to interview was January 6th (It was December 18th when they contacted me to setup the 3rd interview).
I replied to their email stating that I would be available to do the interview earlier but that the 6th worked for me. They confirmed the date and time (Jan. 6th 10am) and I was sent a calendar invite. This is when things got weird. a week before I was scheduled to interview for the 3rd time with Paylock I received an email saying they had filled the position and that the 3rd interview meeting was going to be cancelled (which is weird because they said on the 2nd interview that they had several open positions to fill). I think that it was very unprofessional to state that they were not interviewing anyone before January 6th which was obviously an unnecessary lie and to schedule and a week later prematurely cancel a meeting on Christmas eve lends to the type of company this is.
