I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Patch (New York, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
I felt very uncomfortable as the person interviewing me was looking me up and down. I accepted the job under the condition that the manager told about the incident would do something about it. However, turns out their company does all sorts of this 'related stuff' all the time in order to get information they aren't supposed to have. Totally disgusted. All of this other detail, I just found out recently! I totally understand that they could and ARE involved in illegal activity which is getting them sued!

Question 1
How do you feel about maintaining journalism ethic?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Patch (Kent, OH) in Nov 2011
Interview
I had to interview with a person from the New York office over the phone, which I missed the call, and then had to interview with a current editor from some random town in New Jersey. Finally, met with my soon-to-be boss at a diner near my hometown. Moved pretty quickly, but there was always some worry about it.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Patch (Washington, DC)
Interview
A phone screen with New York, followed by an in person interview in Washington with the one regional editor for Maryland at the time. The editor was late, but what followed were standard questions, as well as a discussion of what Patch might be. That was followed by a phone chat with a working local editor in New Jersey, in which we talked about workflow and company culture.
