We are so sorry you had a negative experience with the interview process. We are addressing this with our Operations Manager as well as reviewing our onboarding procedures to improve the hiring experience. To address some of your points, we do receive a lot of applications for our teaching positions, and while we do review all resumes and cover letters, we send a generic first reply to qualified candidates only with a self-checklist to determine if this is a good fit for everyone and so no one’s time is wasted. Also, while instructors may apply to one job ad (i.e. Piano instructor), many of our instructors can teach various subjects, especially as we provide plenty of curriculum and support, so we don’t want instructors to feel boxed into just one kind of class and ask what subjects instructors can teach. With live Zoom or pre-screening videos being an option (again to screen qualified candidates), you should certainly have been sent a Zoom link at an agreed-upon time when you asked for that option. Also, for those who do submit videos, from our experience the size of those files is too large to be sent through email, which is why we ask teachers to upload a YouTube video (a private video is fine if we are sent the link) or send it through WhatsApp. We will review the onboarding emails to be sure they are clearer and friendlier in tone. We appreciate our instructors and wouldn’t have a successful school enrichment business without them.
