Personally, I feel like my interview could have gone better. My interview was scheduled at 3 PM and when I came to the restaurant was packed. I'm not 100% sure on if they scheduled my interview during their lunch/dinner rush or if this was an unexpected rush. However, I do feel like it impacted my interview quite a bit. The girl who interviewed me was working the food line when I came in. I was told to find a table and wait while she got someone to cover her place. This was a little difficult because nearly all the tables were full. I picked a table near the front of the store (no other tables really) and tried to sit as far away from the guests as I could (so I could be able to hear the other person- people were being noisy). Also, was offered a drink while I waited. That was nice! The interviewer seemed generally happy and surprised that I had a copy of my resume and a cover letter. Kind of felt like it was more of an "Oh great. I don't need to ask about everything because it's all right here." It was very clear that she was trying to get this interview over with so she could get back on the line. This is understandable because they were busy but I really wish they brought me in at a more reasonable time. The interview lasted all of...5 minutes? This was really off-putting for me because I think my shortest interview so far has been 15 minutes. I'm not sure if this is because I did poorly or just because she was trying to get back to work. The questions I've attached to this are literally all the questions I was asked. When asked if I had any questions for her- "Yes! I do actually. I was wondering what your training process typically looked like. Is it more hands-on training or is it module based?" A: We have a one week training period. It's mostly hands-on, especially with FOH (front of house) employees. It's mainly just memorizing the menu and figuring out where everything is on the POS for the drive-through and dining check out. We do have a few HR required modules that you'll be expected to complete but aside from that, it's mostly hands on. -- Was told that there are typically two interviews and that she'll show my cover letter and resume to her shift manager. If they choose to go forward with the interview process, I should be hearing back from them soon.
