This was a pretty bad experience. I applied on LinkedIn and had a referral. A little over a week later, I got an email from an HR person who told me she wanted to do a phone screening. We scheduled a call for a few days later, I waited for about 20 minute, and she did not call. However, she did send an email after letting me know that she was stuck in a meeting and wanted to reschedule. We rescheduled and again no call! After waiting 20 min I emailed her to see if the screening was still on for that day or if she wanted to reschedule, and got an out of office reply. I waited an hour to see if maybe I would hear back from her or if she wanted to reschedule. Nothing came in so I withdrew my application just because I thought that this was all very unprofessional. 2 days later, I get an email from her a one-word reply: "ok." Another one came in 13 min after and said the following in exact word: “ok. Understood. Was meaning to reach out to you that the hiring manager was not interested in your background or moving forward. Your background was not the fit we were looking for." I really hope that this is not a true reflection of the company.
