I applied online. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group
Interview
It was very weird and unorganized, when I asked the recruiter what the interview was like they said they didn't know because they hadn't sat in on an interview. I then asked how many rounds and they told me "it depends on how many people join the first interview"
Going into my first interview I had no idea what to expect or if there would be any coding portion. I asked the interviewers if they knew how many rounds it would be and they also said it depended on how many people joined the call even though we could already see how many people had joined. Overall the interview was very easy, but nobody even turned on their camera besides me.
I eventually heard back and had another interview with the hiring manager, it was also really easy but again they didn't even turn on their camera.
I did end up receiving an offer, but it was below market rate and I was told their is no chance for negotiation by the recruiter.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group
Interview
The interview was a behavioral interview. I had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it to others. I would make sure you understand the role of tech in banking.
Standard leet coding questions, few from medium and design question and then behavior and culture fit questions Overall good process Friendly people and good vibes Enjoyed the process It was organized
The interview itself was a really great experience. My interviewer was very professional and we had a great conversation the entire time. Mostly behavioral. I was however thoroughly disappointed with the recruiters after the fact. I was given an offer, and then ghosted for weeks. Just seemed very unprofessional.
