I applied online. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group in Mar 2021
Interview
Contacted by HR and asked a few preliminary questions before setting up an interview with the hiring manager.
The interview with the hiring manager discussed information on the company, position, resume, and background information. Ending things off with a very simple technical question at the end.
The final interview was with a senior (or lead?) developer and was mostly a technical discussion. Unfortunately, I was asked many things that were not listed on my resume and further prodded at the topics that were not on my resume.. (Ex: trying to get into a discussion about NoSQL, when I clearly had only SQL experience listed on my resume).
Seems that my background was not fit for the job, which is fine, but not sure why I was led on to the final interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group
Interview
The interview was a behavioral interview. I had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it to others. I would make sure you understand the role of tech in banking.
Standard leet coding questions, few from medium and design question and then behavior and culture fit questions Overall good process Friendly people and good vibes Enjoyed the process It was organized
The interview itself was a really great experience. My interviewer was very professional and we had a great conversation the entire time. Mostly behavioral. I was however thoroughly disappointed with the recruiters after the fact. I was given an offer, and then ghosted for weeks. Just seemed very unprofessional.
