The process was explained clearly and communication was quick and efficient. It involved screening call with the recruiter and two onsite interviews.
Everyone was friendly and positive and I enjoyed a tour of the site.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you think makes you a good candidate for the role?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Oxford Instruments in Nov 2025
Interview
Day 0: Submitting the Application to the company
Day 1: Receiving the invitation to an online interview
Day 7: Taking the interview with HR in teams call
- (1) HR introducing the company, the position and the team; (2) Applicant doing self-introduction; (3) HR confirming the travel willingness; (4) Applicant asking questions.
Day 35: Receiving the rejection email
I applied online. I interviewed at Oxford Instruments in Dec 2025
Interview
Summary: Ghosted by the recruiting team but the interview itself was good. Painfully slow process overall with poor communication.
The hiring process included a screening call with an internal recruiter, an online interview with three panel members, and would then have included an in-person interview had I been invited to the final stage.
The screening call came quickly but it took another month before the online interview was then scheduled. The recruiter was not responsive to my emails. The online interview itself was actually very enjoyable, with challenging technical questions and a relaxed atmosphere.
After the interview, however, I did not hear back. When I then pursued the recruiter to request an updated timeline, I was then ghosted. I finally withdrew my application three months later.
