I applied for the position. The hiring manager contacted me with questions, and I responded. She did not tell me that I did not get the job; I never heard from her again.
I met the minimum qualifications for the position and applied on Craigslist. The interviewer was pleasant. However, after the interview, she sent me an email, saying I was not qualified for the position, which was not true. I called the interviewer for clarification. She said she didn't think my personality fit the organization's culture.
However, companies are supposed to hire the most qualified applicants. I do realize personality counts in the interview, but it's not good hiring practice or EEO-compliant to just hire people based on their personalities and not even consider their qualifications.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at OrangeRoc (Honolulu, HI) in Mar 2010
Interview
There wasn't much of a process beyond replying to their ads on craigs list. Once you got there, the owner would not acknowledge you and let you wait for her until she was ready to meet, even though there was a set time. But the rest of the team members were really nice and welcoming.
