Emailed by recruitment asking me to come in for an assessment afternoon having seen my CV on a recruitment website. Three other candidates were at the assessment. We were tasked with deciding who to save from a sinking ship with a wealth of information about each potential survivor and then to present our findings. Following that we had to complete Literacy, Numeric and pattern matching exercises. The recruiter and other members of staff who were part of the assessment contradicted each other about the salary on offer and openly criticised each other when the other was out of the room. We were then told that we would be contacted within two to three days. Part way through the third day I phoned the recruiter who said that they would be contacting candidates by the end of that day. Despite leaving a voice mail and sending an email over the next two days I never heard back from the recruiter. Over a week passed before I heard from a different member of staff writing that I had been unsuccessful. The whole process lacked professionalism.
