Three hours long. Focused on technical aspects. Talked a great deal about new technologies but once I started working at the company did not find any of that stuff, just very very old stuff.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Optima Healthcare Solutions (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2013
Interview
Thorough. Very well done in my opinion.
First, the phone screening was highly technical and deep. Then, the interview was a 5 hour process that included a nice lunch with the team.
I was asked to work through a sorting algorithm on the whiteboard. I chose merge sort. Me and the hiring manager/CTO had a great discussion about how merge sort works, why it is effective, etc. This was the largest single exercise in the interview. I was also asked to write som queries against a SQL database to answer certain questions they asked me (ensuring I could join tables, group by and aggregate, etc.).
They are looking for very strong developers. The interview process is demanding and technical. If you're truly what they're looking for, I think you will enjoy the process -- but know up front you will need to "bring it."
