I only had a screening interview where they asked me to walk through my entire interview and why I left each role. They also just asked what I knew about Ophelia. Nice recruiter.
1) recruiter screen
2) small code exercise, followed by chat with hiring manager
3) leetcode style exercise with engineer
4) system design with another engineer
5) behavioral with product/design
6) vibe check with cto
7) cancellation of vibe check with cto 2 hours before the interview
8) no apology, just rescinding interview
If you want to spend hours wasting your time, being given good feedback and being scheduled for a final interview only to have it canceled the day of with no clear explanation, you should apply. This speaks to how the company is run and the respect you will get if you somehow don’t get cancelled on.
I applied online. I interviewed at Ophelia (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
Received request to interview approximately 1 week after applying. The initial email provided a link to schedule on the recruiter's calendar. I had the initial screening with the recruiter, who was a few minutes late; however, she was professional, but not particularly friendly. She asked what I knew about the company and then provided details about the company and role itself. She asked several questions to learn more about my experience. All typical behavior-based questions. Again, not super engaging, but she did a nice job of communicating the process and next steps. I got a decline within 3 days. It seems like a nice company to work for based on my experience.
