I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Opendoor (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
HR, then phone call. It's strange how they rejected me. I got the solution pretty fast (~10 mins) but they asked me to test a function that deals with random numbers. Sure, my test cases were pretty crappy, but they were looking for a specific way of testing it which I didn't get.
I don't think their hiring bar is high, it's just really specific what they're looking for.

General coding problems based on some scenario, similar for design rounds.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Opendoor
Interview
The interview itself was standard for a senior eng role, and I did appreciate that the final round was one block on one day. For my role, the interview included React programming questions, backend quesions, as well as system architecture. I had plenty of chances to discuss with the hiring manager and prospective team members about the culture and business outside of interview rounds.

Question 1
Come up with a system architecture for an UI where tasks related to listing and selling a home are created, and completed by operators.

Got a call from the recruiter on the next day after applying on the careers page. The interviewer mentioned to schedule the interview but got ghosted afterwards. They do not even have the professional courtesy to reply to an email.

Question 1
Interviews were not scheduled because of unprofessional recruiters.
