      Sales Development Representative Interview

      1 Oct 2015
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OpenAsset (London, England) in Aug 2015

      Interview

After writing a short cover letter detailing why I would fit the job I was invited in for a face to face interview with the UK Sales Team. I met the the UK Sales Team who were very welcoming and friendly and we had a brief informal chat before diving into the interview. The interview lasted for nearly two hours and was fairly comprehensive in the areas that we covered. The interview had a relaxed feel and there was a lot of humour in it, which I expected, as the HR contact was very friendly and informal throughout the initial process leading up to the interview. Overall the experience, being my first interview outside of University, was great and I would recommend working for Axomic.

      Sales Development Representative Interview

      7 Aug 2015

      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OpenAsset (New York, NY)

      Interview

Interview consisted of a three stage process. First stage was a phone interview. The woman was nice, though was not very professional. Did not seem at all confident on the phone which was awkward seeing how this is a phone related position. Responded with "cool" after every response and was quick to cut off my questions and responses. Was called in for an 1:1 interview in Manhattan the following week. Met with the woman from phone interview and a VP there. They did not seem organized; often asked the same questions and one clearly did not read my resume ahead of time. You could also assume from their responses that they are not at Axomic for the long haul. They did not seem excited at all about their work or the company. Went well okay though and I learned more about the company. Was then invited to a Skype interview with one of the CEOs and another VP. (The amount of VPs at this small of a company was alarming... Often startups give out "title" promotions in order to attract people that they do not have the funds to pay competitively). CEO was very nice and driven. Would have loved to work for him, but ultimately some of his employees and their management styles were a turn off. Decided this was not the place for me.

      Question 2

Lots of technical questions from cloud servers to different computer software. (Seemed like they wanted an IT guy)
