I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Open Access Technology International in Apr 2026
Interview
Started with a 3-hour written assessment that was proctored and had to be done in one sitting. Went back and forth with the recruiter because the only time you schedule this is in the normal 9-5 working hours so don't know how workers are supposed to find the time for it. It consisted of 13 questions that were extremely vague and needed clarifying questions, no one was around to give them since the recruiter was the one who proctored me (also weird). Somehow got through to the second interview that was in 2 days with little to no context before hand. Went in and turned out to be a group zoom call with the team ~5 people and it was a system design interview where they asked me to some them the design of a RAG/agent pipeline and then a design from what I've previously built. Even for a senior AI/ML engineer, the depth of questions they asked were very deep asking specific "what-ifs" based on evals, traffic load, and multi-agent framework integrations. This also lasted 2 hours and the interviews were very snobby and were shocked when I couldn't define the full RAGAS metric. After all of these interviews went through, I was ghosted for 3+ months as to this day I have not received any feedback or rejection from the company. Pretty embarrassing of a company to have a candidate go through all of that work for an interview than never follow up. The average star count for the company also reflects this.

Question 1
Asked about filtering keywords in an email chain and routing them appropriately, very NLP/ML heavy
