I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (London, England) in Nov 2012
Interview
Hiring process is the standard strategy consulting process: a CV and cover letter sift, followed by an online numerical test (which is hard, so don't try to answer every question). If you pass this, the first round interview consists of two case interviews and one CV interview. The cases were quite difficult, so make sure you practice. Both cases were very quantitative heavy, so frameworks weren't as helpful as just asking for figures. Feedback was that I should have been more structured, though.

Question 1
"Your degree seems like a soft subject, explain why it isn't"
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Sydney) in Mar 2026
Interview
First, we are given an AI interview with questions to answer on video. They only give 45 s to answer questions. Then there was a face-to-face interview, where it is 2 x 45 mins, where it is the same thing with 2 different people on seperate occasions.
First you take an online assessment. There are two rounds. First is one hour: half case, half behavioral. The first round is with younger analysts. Everyone was nice and supportive, also was on zoom.
2 rounds
R1: 30 min case 30 min behavioral. Case and behavioral weren’t difficult and seemed more like a vibe check.
R2: 2 x 30 min cases and 30 min behavioral (this interview was with much mkre Senior leadership)
