I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Old Navy (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2015
Interview
I applied 2 days prior to the phone interview. It was online and there was a quiz that we had to do (I believe it was 50 questions). Overall very easy but time consuming (a good 30 mins)
1) Sudden phone interview. Q: what makes you awesome? Q: what makes you best fit to be part of the team. After answering 3-4 questions, the girl asked if I can come in the following day for an interview. As well was asked to bring one object that signifies you and/or your passion.
2) 11:00am interview with 14 other individuals
3) Tour around the entire store including the storage room
4) Later brought us together and asked all the information we knew about the company and proceeded with giving us a background of the company
5) Asked us to get into pairs and find out 3 facts that are not related to the job in which we were applying
6) Told us to bring the object we brought from home out and discuss why it is important to you
7) After choosing a random number from 1 to 4, we had to bring one clothing item that matched the description of the number. 1=athletic wear 2= collectible shirt 3=swimwear 4=jean. We needed to learn everything about that one item (ex, is it on sale? fabric?) in order to "sell it" to the interviewers.
8) Using that same item from step 7 we were asked to create an entire outfit in accordance the setting that were given (once again we were asked to randomly select numbers between 1 to 4. 1=Date 2=TIFF 3=interview 4=Center Island). After 10 mins of selecting an outfit, we had to explain how we incorporated the item into the full outfit.
9) After 2 hours the interview finally ended and they thanked us for our time and informed us that we will be e-mailed/called if we received an offer.
Overall it was completely different than a formal 1 on 1 interview. They are really looking for an outgoing person who knows about fashion and is able to sell their product. CON: it took 2 hours and I wish I was informed about the length of the interview.
Group interview, almost like a game with dice used to answer questions. Each person had to share what they thought and take turns. Pleasant interview process, very casual. Some applicants wore jeans
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's something you think will come back in fashion?
Most of the interview was basic and what you would expect, but they did include a portion where you pretend to help customers looking for outfits/items for specific occasions and that makes it fun!

Question 1
Help a customer put together outfits for family pictures.
