I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Old Navy (New Hartford, NY) in Sept 2013
Interview
I applied online and was called within probably a week.Had a reference from a friend so that helped (the other girl in the "group" interview was reffered by an employee as well.) When the manager called to ask me to interview she told me to wear something "fashion forward" that I would wear to a regular work shift at ON. I wore skinny jeans (ON brand) brown wedge heels and a tan cardigan(ON brand) with a leopard scarf.Very casual dress code. The manager was wearing ripped jeans and sweater. I was told to bring an item that was passionate to me. I wore an alex and ani bracelet and said my brother gave it to me and family is important to me, and they seemed more than fine (the other girl brought a picture of her and her best friend (the one that referred her)) We played "games" we rolled an oversized dice, whatever item of clothing the dice landed on, you had to go get that item (easy), we went got our items came back, and then rolled another dice with a "situation" My dice said "Help Jim find clothes for an interview". I already had a collared shirt from my first roll and so I grabbed some khakis that were on sale, a belt, shoes, a t-shirt to go under the collared buttondown. We did a "scavenger hunt " in the store it was easy. we played basic ice breaker games, learning about eachother and also the employees out on the sales floor at the time. Pretty basic, must be fashion orientated for this interview. Over all: Laid back, nice, easy, fun:)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
After the scavenger hunt we had to try and "sell" each item to the manager, or say how you could use it while on the sales floor, I had a skeleton piggy bank and I said I could offer it a customer for a child's room decor.
Group interview, almost like a game with dice used to answer questions. Each person had to share what they thought and take turns. Pleasant interview process, very casual. Some applicants wore jeans

Question 1
What's something you think will come back in fashion?
Most of the interview was basic and what you would expect, but they did include a portion where you pretend to help customers looking for outfits/items for specific occasions and that makes it fun!
