      Assistant Store Manager Interview

      10 Apr 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Old Navy in Mar 2012

      Interview

I had a phone interview with a store manager that I think went really well. I was then asked to drive 9 hours because I was interviewing out of state for a 1 on 1 interview with another store manager. I was willing to make the drive because they made it seem as though I would be a "perfect fit'. I had a 1 hour conversation for my 1 on 1 interview that was very layed back and relaxed. The manager did not seem to have any business etiquite because we were interuputed many times. During the interview the store manager said to me.." I would hire you today I just need to check with my territory manager and he is giong to want you here like yesterday". We talked about when I would be able to get there after giving my two weeks notice to my current job. He said he would talk to his manager first thing the next day and I could expect a phone call from him in a few days. I never heard from him. I called the first store manger I talked to and she said they have been unable to have to talk about my interviews and would call me the next day. Again I NEVER Heard from anyone. They lead me on and dragged it out and wasted my time. Very rude and disrespectful of my time and my efforts. Be curtious enough to give a simple e-mail letting me know that you were not interested in hiring me.
