The process took about three weeks. My fifth interview was canceled without explanation. It took me 4 business days to finally get a hold of them over the phone letting me know they were moving forward with another candidate. They mentioned it's because they wanted to deliver the news over the phone.
While I appreciate the intent behind a phone call, the delay and silence left me in limbo. After putting in so much time and energy, I was left feeling strung along. A simple, timely email would have been better than days of radio silence.
I applied online. I interviewed at Okta (Denver, CO) in Nov 2020
Interview
Interview process was smooth! The recruiter was punctual and kind to speak with, and the conversation flowed smoothly - sometimes recruiters can be distracted or seem over worked, but the recruiter at Okta made me feel like my time was important. The interview with the hiring manager was also a great experience; we connected on a personality level, which made the interview seem more like a conversation, and I could really tell she loved working there. I did not get the position I was applying for, but overall had such a great experience and I appreciate that.
