Application & Screening: Submit . HR conducted an initial video interview to confirm motivation, background, and interest in Octopus Investments.
First-round interview: hiring manager. Focused on my background, technical exposure (databases, SQL), and soft skills like communication and problem-solving.
Technical Interview: May include scenario-based questions and SQL query questions. Designed to evaluate analytical thinking and ability to resolve issues under pressure.

Interview
The process included four stages. It began with an initial HR interview covering my background, motivations, and fit for the firm. I was then asked to provide supplemental information detailing my investing experience and prior deal work. Next, I met with two members of the investment team for technical discussions on sourcing, diligence, and sector perspectives. The final stage was an interview with the Partner leading the team, focused on investment philosophy, strategic alignment, and team culture.
