The interview process was clear from the outset and all of the calls had a welcoming and relaxed feel, with friendly staff who were always happy to answer any questions about the role or interview process.
1. An initial call with a Talent Partner to explain the interview process, and have an introductory discussion about the role and my interest in working at Octopus. It was a very welcoming call with plenty of space to ask questions.
2. A "culture-fit" video interview with two other developers. An opportunity to talk more about the day-to-day aspect of the role and the teams' structure. Some technical discussions but nothing in depth - focussed more on my experience broadly rather than skills.
3. Take-home technical assignment followed by a technical video-interview with a senior developer and team lead in which we discussed the take-home task and a more detailed discussion of the team the role would likely be joining.
4. Final 30-minute video-interview with director of engineering.
