I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Occidental Petroleum (Houston, TX) in Oct 2018
Interview
Applied for several positions across facilities, production, reservoir due to relevant experience in each. Got a call about two weeks later to set up phone interview. Oxy rescheduled once and they let me know the next day I’d have an in-person interview. Came out about 3 weeks later and interviewed in person. Was told next day I’d be getting an offer. Received formally about two weeks later. Onboarded about 4 weeks later. We had mutual interest in moving the process along quickly and it worked out well.
It was 2 parts. The on campus interview was done through teams and was about 30 min. Combination of conversational questions and standard behavioral questions. The 2nd interview was at their Houston office. It was mostly behavioral questions as well but we were able to network with other employees during the interview day event.

Question 1
What are your strengths and how have you applied them to previous projects?
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Occidental Petroleum (Houston, TX) in May 2012
Interview
This was an interview at a career fair - as soon as I showed interest in the company they took me aside, described the positions available, and gave me an initial screening interview to justify flying me to Houston for an actual interview. No outcome available yet.
