This company has a fairly easy process for coming on board. I applied online. A few days later I received an email that asked me to submit a map of the area that I was willing to cover, a photo from the camera that I was planning on shooting with, and a signed confidentiality agreement, which is not a contract. It basically states that the site and information is proprietary and that I will keep it confidential.
After I sent in the paperwork, they reviewed my camera equipment and made sure that it met their qualifications and then they sent me the information for the training. They have two training sessions, but you have to attend both. That was harder for me as I have a daytime job so I could not attend the training sessions right away.
After I was able to go to both sessions, one was for the system and one was for the way they want you to photograph, then I had to submit a small test shoot. The trainer said that it was to make sure that I understood the system and that I met their standards for shooting. It was 5 images total that I had to upload.
The longest part was waiting for them to get back to me after the test shoot. That took about 2 weeks before I heard from anyone. Other than that, I was brought onto the team and I have not had any issues with the company.
