I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OPIE Software (Gainesville, FL) in Nov 2019
Interview
Dreadful. Was treated like an afterthought - only 1 of the 3 people who said they would be appearing for one of the interviews even bothered to arrive.
To top it all off, they give you a take home assessment that "should only take an afternoon" (already way too much time to begin with) when in reality it's going to take several days.
Do yourself (and the rest of us software developers out there) a favor and politely decline the ridiculous proposition of performing unpaid labor in exchange for the chance at an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe some of the projects on your GitHub account.
Very enjoyable interview, everyone was nice and easy to talk to, felt more like a conversation rather than an interrogation. It was professional yet friendly which is always a plus :)

Interview
Skype call - Which went over my resume. Then small web application to build using any framework I was comfortable with. The application was a form like application that wasn't too hard. Afterwards I met up and described my app and the logic behind some of the features I made.

Question 1
Just basic questions about my resume. "What have you built?", "How do you approach new technology?"
