Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by HR for a brief screening interview by phone followed by a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager in Slough. About a month later I was invited for another round of interview in Slough with the hiring manager and his manager. What followed were about 3 months of waiting whilst apparently they carried out more second stage interviews and after about 5 months passing since my initial application, I was told that they have decided to change the role specification and recruit a more junior manager! This is a joke really, any company that needs 5 months to conclude an interview should be avoided and that's what I will do with O2 in the future!

What would you need to do in your first 3 months in this role?
Thank you for your feedback. It's incredibly important to us that candidates have a positive experience and we apologise for the length of time you were in the process for. I believe that this was in part due to availability from all parties during December. There were a few changes made to the role, which unfortunately meant that your skills and experience were at a higher level than what was decided was required. To the best of our ability, we try to avoid making changes to positions, particularly once interviews have begun, however at times adjustments need to be made to keep the role in line with the business.
