These are HIGHLY unprofessional people.
1st round is an interview with HR, went great.
2nd round is an interview with the hiring manager, went great.
3rd round is a skills assessment test (excel/accounting), went great.
Finally, get an email from HR let's set up an interview with CFO (which is a formality) and in the meantime send references, particularly from managers. I was about to provide them, 2 previous managers and my current one. But I thought about it and said that I will provide those once I get the offer. HR said OK.
Less than 24 hours before the interview with the CFO they send the email that the interview is canceled. Why? No answer. That's it.
Interviews with CFOs tend to be just a formality, can you imagine if I did provide the references and if HR would have reached out to my existing manager?
These people are extremely unprofessional and I would be careful with how I proceed.
In addition the whole Finance/Account department is a complete mess, they have yet to close their 2023 books and are not close to doing so (It's April 2024), they are launching new ERP, so there's a lot of work. If you are joining expect a lot of chaos and a lot of work. So with that I would suggest to join them only if the comp is well above what you have now or if you are unemplyed.
