      Wealth Management Intern Interview

      13 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bedminster, NJ
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Bedminster, NJ)

      Interview

During my job interview with XYZ Corporation for the position of Marketing Specialist, I was initially nervous but also excited about the opportunity. I had thoroughly prepared by researching the company, reviewing common interview questions, and practicing my responses. The interview began with the standard introductions and small talk, which helped to ease my nerves. Then, the interviewer started asking me about my previous work experience and how it related to the position I was applying for. I confidently discussed my past projects, highlighting my achievements and how they aligned with the responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist role. One question that stood out to me was when the interviewer asked about a challenging situation I had faced in my previous job and how I handled it. I shared an experience where I had to manage a tight deadline for a marketing campaign while dealing with unexpected technical issues. I explained how I quickly assessed the situation, communicated effectively with team members, and implemented a solution that allowed us to meet the deadline successfully. As the interview progressed, I felt more comfortable and engaged in the conversation. I asked thoughtful questions about the company culture, team dynamics, and potential growth opportunities, which demonstrated my genuine interest in the role. Towards the end of the interview, the interviewer provided me with an overview of the next steps in the hiring process and asked if I had any final questions. I expressed my gratitude for the opportunity to interview and reiterated my enthusiasm for the position. Overall, the job interview was a positive experience. I felt well-prepared, confident in my abilities, and excited about the possibility of joining the XYZ Corporation team. Interview

The worst interview I have been in. They not only seemed standoffish the whole time, they had me interview with someone else interviewing for the same position. Furthermore, they had me fill out a 20 person "possible client" form with people we knew, proceeded to ghost me, even after multiple follow up emails.
