I had a phone screener with HR followed up with a panel interview about a week later. HR called me 30 minutes prior to our scheduled time, which was frustrating. Panel interview was mostly fine, but set-up was weird. The interview started out with just myself and the lead researcher, and they had me introduce myself and give a bit of my background. Then, they brought in the two remaining panelists and asked me to repeat my answers to questions I had just answered so the panelists could hear. At the end of the interview, the lead researcher asked me if I would be open to taking a lower title and less pay given my lack of experience. I said I would be open to taking a lower title but would need to review the full offer. They said they understood and mentioned there's little money in nonprofits. I thought it was unprofessional to spring this on me hastily in the last few minutes of an interview. I sent a thank you to all the panelists the following day and got a reply the following week that HR would be in touch. HR never reached out and ignored my follow-up. I sent a follow-up to the panelists and that was also ignored. Ghosted.
