I applied online. I interviewed at Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2025
Interview
Terrible interview process. The whole thing took 3 months. After applying for the position, their HR team assessed my qualifications and assigned me a "score" that I received by email. 2 weeks after applying, I received a request to fill out a lengthy questionnaire discussing my qualifications. It took them TWO MONTHS to get back to me about the questionnaire and schedule a virtual interview.
The virtual interview lasted about 40 minutes and they asked canned questions from a list. I then waited over 3 weeks, only to receive an automated message from their application system that they were "pursuing other candidates whose skills aligned more with the position." Wonderful. The email arrived in the middle of the night too, which felt insulting.
There is no way this process needed to take 3 whole months. Do better! Treat your job candidates and their time with more respect!
