I felt that the overall interview process was a friendly atmosphere, however throughout I never got the feeling that I was being told exactly what the job was for.
They lure you in with the opportunities to travel abroad, and a whole development program...it got me to the interview anyway.
The interviewer knew very little about my background, despite my CV being on the table in front of him. While he was friendly, I got the impression he was selling the role to me, which I usually take to be a bad sign. If a role is good, you shouldn't need to convince me to work there. Furthermore, despite the job advertisement on reed it promised a hopeful career development in marketing management, operation management and finance, the role presented in the interview was not very clear although they did promise you a very quick career development in management. They went through several slides in which business they were in contact with and how much progression other candidates made.
Following the interview they invited me to come an see what it would be like a day at work, and just found out when I got there people with different positions such as promotions Assistant were doing the same job role as me. Also when I turned up the role was a sales role in a shopping centre pop up in which have to try and sell stuff in the market and it was 100% commission based. It was very falsely advertised, also the scheme isn't fixed, they said they cant promise you how long it will take to progress from sales position to other senior supervisor positions. Moreover, the people who worked there seemed to be there only there for few weeks.
My advice for graduates is not to apply for this role and is very miss leading from the job being advertised online as you would be placed in sales role and not management role .
