I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Noom (Tampa, FL) in Apr 2020
Interview
Just as everyone else has mentioned, after submitting your application you are sent a series of timed questions. These are likely scenarios that you would run into on the job - i.e. how to keep customers engaged and motivated, etc. You also send in a 1 minute video of why you would make a good Noom coach. It is all virtual, so they need to get a good idea of who you are as a coach and your coaching methods. They are ONLY looking for someone experienced in Motivational Interviewing, and someone who can be "molded" to their own process. You aren't there to be a personal trainer/nutritionist - you are there to guide the individual through their own process. Imposing goals you think is best is not what they are looking for.
This brings us to the mock session with "Sam". Yes, it is probably the most challenging scenario you would come across - she is difficult to engage - ASK HER OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS! Find out who she is, what her daily routine is, and what goal does she want to work on. You need to elicit a goal from her, without explicitly suggesting a goal TO her.
The day after my mock session I was asked to schedule a 1:1 interview (through Zoom). The job duties, benefits, etc were laid out with some further questions about my work history and experience using MI in past roles. I've been on the waitlist since May and am anxiously waiting for my call to start!
Overall, I enjoyed the interview process. I thought it was fun and gave me a great idea of what the job will be like. If it is not a fun experience for you, noom may not be a good fit for you.
The interview process goes in multiple rounds. First, an online application, then a mock coaching interview where you coach a client, finally, a video interview with a member of the hiring team.
Several interviewers, standard questions. Be prepared to explain your work history as a health coach and why you are a good fit for the position. There is an eschelon of interviews around 3.

Question 1
Why are you interested in job? Previous health coach work?
POOR. Sucked. The interviewer seemed very young and ageist. It seems like this girl would have rather been looking at her phone and responding to texts than interviewing someone for a job position—worst experience ever!!
