I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NielsenIQ in Feb 2025
Interview
HR reached me after i applied through linkedin. Knowing that i am serving notice and Hiring manager, has already screened my profile he mentioned that i will have only 2 technical rounds of interview instead of 3 rounds. My first round was directly scheduled with Hiring manager from US and Lead from US, both of whom are working in the product am being interviewed for. Interview was more on handling data files with huge volume using python, pandas and spark. He mentioned that the current architecture is using python, unix and sql and they are planning to migrate to databricks, snowflake and hive. Questions were also on unix. He was convinced about the interview and skipped 2nd round. We had HR discussion, HR was also very clear about the package and he did compensate my two offers as well. It was quick process everything completed in 2 weeks

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NielsenIQ in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview lasted around an hour and was entirely technical. The questions covered Python programming, SQL, and some general data engineering concepts. Even though I had mentioned clearly in my résumé that I have experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the interviewer seemed to be evaluating for Azure-based experience instead. The job description had mentioned “any cloud preferred,” but in reality, it looked like Azure was mandatory.
