I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Nextech Systems in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview experience was disappointing. The interview team did not seem technically strong and lacked depth in certain areas. During the video interview, I was asked unexpectedly about technologies that were neither mentioned in the job description nor listed on my resume.
After the interview, I received vague feedback simply stating that I was not selected. When I asked for clarification, I was told the decision was based on my lack of extensive experience with certain technologies—yet those technologies were never specified in the job description.
This lack of transparency in role requirements and shifting criteria after seeing a candidate's background wastes time for both candidates and the company and undermines trust in the hiring process. Clearer expectations upfront would lead to a smoother, more efficient hiring process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked several vague and unfocused questions. Some questions appeared more targeted at highlighting what I did not know, rather than assessing my actual skills or relevant experience. This suggested that the team might not have been well-prepared or technically aligned with the role requirements.
