Applied for three separate jobs. I had a similar experience with all of them. Wouldn't say it was a negative experience but certainly a complete waste of time. They were all rather duplicitous. Initially I was told I would get a second interview and a call back the next day then without any explanation, I got a rejection letter stating that they were going with people with better related experience. The job description stated no experience necessary. I have cumulative 10 years in hospitality and customer service. And the job is still up over a month later. Similar experience for the other two. Room service was told they were going with people with more. "extensive" related experience. Taking orders and bringing prepared meals to people's rooms yeah I think I got that. Overall, very pretentious you could tell they wanted to boost their egos by emphasizing the status of their hotel rather than acknowledging that the majority of people could do their jobs. It just requires being attentive, kind, and moderately fit.
