I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at New York Life in Nov 2014
Interview
The interview process was two interviews. You first meet with the head of recruitment and speak with him and his schedule is very flexible so you can meet whenever is free for you. That interview is very easy and is mostly him laying out what the internship is about, he's very easy to talk to, funny, and helpful with answering any questions you have. Then you take a survey on the computer which lasts about 10 minutes where you answer questions about yourself and that's very very simple. If you "pass" then you get a call/email scheduling you an interview with the senior partner, Vince. In this interview, he basically tells you more about what you will do and how everything goes down in the internship, easy to talk to, friendly guy. They just want to see that you are capable of taking it on and with the part-time internship being only 50 hours total (unless you want to do more) it is seen as fairly simple and comfortable to accomplish.
The interviewer asked a lot of questions about sales. At the end they were willing to make an offer but there was a significant lead time to get started. This led to me deciding not to take the job.
The interviewer was very kind and very informative answered all the questions I had . Also told me it’s a 4 interview process where I have to meet with different people and go to there office

Interview
Interviewer was rude and unprofessional. I honestly was disappointed by the quality of the process and the attitude of the interviewer since they seemed too blunt about my lack of experience.
