I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New College Group (Liverpool, England) in Mar 2023
Interview
The interview process is very straight forward and an easy-going chat with future employers about what they expect of you as a teacher. I felt very at ease in the interview and they asked lots of questions based from personal experience teaching and customer service facing jobs.

Question 1
Plan a lesson for an intermediate class of a mixed culture group on the imperfect tense. Make sure you talk through the stages of your lesson.
I applied online. I interviewed at New College Group (Manchester, England) in May 2026
Interview
The interview lasted around 30–45 minutes.
My interview panel consisted of two people: the Director of Studies and the Senior EFL Teacher from New College Group, Liverpool branch. They were very friendly, approachable, and supportive, especially if I encountered any difficulties during the interview.
The interview questions were shown directly on slides. The interview itself was divided into two main sections: Safeguarding and Vulnerability, and Teacher in the Classroom and Administration scenario-based questions. In addition, all the questions were very practical. It is important to have a solid understanding of the theory beforehand so that you have a strong foundation and can respond flexibly during the interview. If you already have teaching experience, the question sets are quite manageable.
