I applied through other source. I interviewed at New Age Management
Interview
Got a call out of the blue from a recruiter(?), saying she was from New Age Management.
She said she received my resume through Monster, yet I didn't recall ever applying to such a company (I keep a record of all my application on a spreadsheet).
She went on to say that they are interested in interviewing me without explanation of the company or the job, so I stopped her to ask where she got my resume from, to which she kept saying that I replied to their advertisement.
When I kept asking her questions, and when I asked her whether they were a management training company, she just wanted to get off the phone. She was so interested to start with, and then when she was asked questions, she needed to run. Very suspicious company.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at New Age Management
Interview
I got a call just a day after I applied online saying they were interested in interviewing me. The first interview was very quick and straightforward, and manager asked typical interview questions. I promptly got called again for a second interview where she explained more about the company and position. She had told me she had over 80 applicants/interviews, but in the previous interview she said that she would be hiring one out of three people. This is what made me suspicious about this company, and because of that I declined their offer (and they were very quick to say that they already have someone else to hire if I declined...truly not a special offer). After learning more, I discovered that their job listings and company information are very misleading. They emphasize their "professionalism" and their successful "marketing" strategies. Honestly, this is a company that gets money off of door to door sales. They have 10 hour work days but only offer commission. This company is manipulative and lies. Please don't trust them with their "unique" opportunities!
