      Executive Assistant Interview

      7 Feb 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Metzingen, Baden-Wurttemberg
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Neura Robotics (Metzingen, Baden-Wurttemberg) in Jan 2026

      Interview

The People & Culture organisation at Neura appears to be overwhelmed with basic tasks, and it has been difficult to experience any real sense of professionalism throughout the process. I received the invitation to my first interview in a very brief and impersonal message with little information. Nevertheless, I was pleased, as I found the company interesting and believed I could contribute significantly to its success. The first interview went well, but afterwards I heard nothing for almost ten days and had to follow up myself. Only then did I receive a very generic, seemingly automated invitation to a second interview. That conversation also went well, yet once again it was followed by complete silence. I had to follow up a second time. During this period, I began researching other people’s experiences with Neura and discovered numerous comments from employees stating that the company “does not care about its employees” (as can be seen on Kununu and Glassdoor). Unfortunately, this attitude also seemed to extend to applicants. Eventually I was invited to a third interview on site, including the CEO. I was genuinely pleased, as I assumed this meant I was among the final candidates. The interview itself was acceptable, but I sensed that the CEO had already formed an opinion of me based on his negative experience with his former executive assistant, which he appeared to project onto me. I felt he was unable to separate those past experiences from our conversation. He came across as confident yet also somewhat insecure, and I had the impression that he viewed the role as particularly “high profile,” although from my experience it was a very normal executive environment. I wanted to convey that I have dealt with extremely demanding situations in the past and that very little would surprise or overwhelm me. However, due to his previous experiences and relatively young age, he did not seem able to approach me with a neutral perspective. After this third and final interview, there was once again no communication. When I followed up, I was informed that they had decided not to proceed with my application and that they would be happy to provide detailed feedback. I appreciated this offer, as I value constructive feedback and personal development—but no response ever came. I followed up again a week later and still received no answer. Offering feedback and then ignoring the applicant entirely feels deeply disrespectful. I feel very disappointed by Neura and the overall application process. The lack of communication and professionalism has been disheartening. The People & Culture team never attempted a proper phone conversation, and during the interviews the recruiter was frequently reading emails and typing, appearing mentally absent. This created an atmosphere in which I felt unwelcome and as though I was wasting everyone’s time. Neura presents itself as an exceptional organisation, yet it seems unable to recognise how its behaviour affects others. Self-reflection is essential for growth, for companies as much as for individuals. I gave Neura several weeks of patience and asked for the feedback that was promised, but I was ignored. Since my attempts at direct communication were unsuccessful, I feel compelled to share my experience publicly.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

For some reason, the recruiter repeatedly asked about the types of C-level executives I had worked with in the past and how I would describe them as individuals. The question struck me as unusual, but I answered openly and honestly. However, my responses were later interpreted in a way that felt distorted and were used against me. They expressed concern that I might hold a negative opinion of the Neura CEO, even though I had not said anything critical about any of my former bosses, all of whom I respect greatly.
