Competency based interview with set questions expecting the STAR method as response. There is normally a health and safety question and focus on values and behaviours. Make sure you’re prepared with real life examples to respond to questions.

The interview consisted of safety related questions and behavioural questions asking for examples of where I have demonstrated the Network Rail behaviours. They send out guidance on how to structure you answers with the interview invite, it was really helpful to use this.

The interview process is very smooth. The first and final round is 1 hour, competency- and technical-based. Most of the questions were safety, inclusivity and risk-related. Situational questions and technical questions were risk related
