I applied online. I interviewed at Nava in Dec 2024
Interview
Probably the messiest interview I had, and after I was rejected they actually reached out again to see if I was still interested. I actually read here before going through the interview but thought my experience would be different. I was interviewing for a new role that combined both design and development and was super excited. Went through multiple rounds:
1. Recruiter/Phone Screen
2. Hiring Manager
3. Take-Home Assessment
4. Technical Interview
5. Panel Interview
To clarify, everyone I met was lovely, and I really enjoyed the people on the team. However everything was poorly coordinated. Was consistently sent incorrect information and my technical interviewer didn't even know what he was supposed to interview me on. (yikes) During my panel interview, I was excited, since they said they would get back to me the next day with next steps. Then: silence. I heard nothing for about a week even after checking in with my recruiter, until I finally received a generic "thank you" email and that the position has been filled.
6 months later they reached out to me asking if I would still be interested. I responded potentially and asked for more info, but didn't hear back for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they sent me an invitation to interview - the exact same interview with the same take home project and interview rounds. I asked them to clarify more on the role and the interview process since I wanted to use my time effectively, and then they ghosted me again. Really loved their mission, so super disappointed in how this all turned out, but I also felt like my time was seen as invaluable during the entire process.
