I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at National Wealth Fund (Leeds, England) in Aug 2023
Interview
3 interviews, one group exercise and a written task. Interviews were mainly competency, personality and motivation questions. There was a separate case study interview that went along with the written task

Question 1
Why do you want to work at the National Wealth Fund?
3 stages, 2 panels each with 3 individuals. Most questions on technical aspects of the role including a presentation on the role and follow up questions. Questions were challenging and recommended you use a STAR format, they send through helpful guidance before the interview.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for your positive feedback on the recruitment process.
We’re pleased to hear that you found the experience well‑structured and that the guidance provided ahead of the interview was helpful. Our aim is to create a fair and transparent process that enables candidates to demonstrate their skills and experience effectively.
We recognise that our process can be challenging, particularly for technical roles, but we design this to reflect the nature of the work and ensure candidates have the opportunity to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Congratulations on your offer, and we wish you every success in your role with us.

Interview
Weird experience. First round a screening call, then invited straight to assessment centre. Consisted of group exercise, then an interview with two people and an individual case study. The process itself was quick, but no one from the recruitment team was responsive. Never received any replies to my emails. Thought I performed pretty well, radio silence after the assessment centre, had to write them an email to ask for updates, didn’t even get a response just an automatic rejection 30 minutes after I sent the email. After asking for feedback, which they said they always give, my request was also ignored.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here, how do you handle multiple deadlines etc.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We’re pleased to hear that you found the process efficient and engaging in parts, but we are sorry to read about your experience with communication following the assessment centre. This is not the standard we aim to provide.
We recognise how important timely updates and constructive feedback are to candidates, and we are working to improve consistency and responsiveness across our recruitment processes.
We appreciate you highlighting this and will take it on board as we continue to improve the candidate experience.
