Pretty quick initially (especially for government agencies), very easy too. Initial application, one-way interview, additional documents, then CJO. After that, the real fun starts with jumping through hoops trying to get a TS. After 5 months in the application process, I was flown out to their HQ near Baltimore, MD for a polygraph & psych eval. Did not have a great experience there and felt like I was being intimidated into saying I was someone I wasn't. Psych kept trying to depict me as an alcoholic for saying I only drink socially (about once a month) and poly saying I'm a druggie for past marijuana use (stopped years ago). We're professionals, not friends, but there is still a layer of mutual respect that should be shared between everyone. After flying back home, I withdrew my CJO and just went with another job offer that felt less invasive and less bureaucratic. Rule of thumb, if you want to do cybersecurity and are willing to put up with everything, this is a great place to start and their name holds a ton of weight in the field. The pay is decent, benefits aren't bad, and job is stable. However, if you're just testing the water and want to get into software, go someplace else. I promise there are countless opportunities elsewhere with similar or greater pay/benefits that won't prod into every facet of your life and make you feel unbearably uncomfortable.
