      Program Manager Interview

      10 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at National Life Group

      Interview

Two rounds of interviews. First, the hiring manager. Second, a series of four different stakeholders. The second round was in-person and oddly did not include an interview or even quick meet-and-greet with the hiring manager, who works from that office. It was obvious from two of the four stakeholder interviews that the scope and responsibilities for the role had not been adequately communicated. (One of the stakeholders actually admitted that they didn't know exactly what the person in the role would be doing.) Several questions didn't make sense in the context of the role as it was advertised. There was no follow-up after the second interview until I sent an email weeks later inquiring about the status of the role. On the plus side, everyone I met seemed very personable and I was given a free lunch.
